News: Mandated Fee Increase for all Pennsylvania Counties

Abstract: House Bill 1607 puts in place an additional $13.50 fee to be added to all documents that currently are assessed an Access to Justice fee.

Mandated Fee Increase for all Pennsylvania Counties effective December 8, 2009

On October 9, 2009, Governor Rendell signed into law House Bill 1607 that amends Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. House Bill 1607 puts in place an additional $13.50 fee to be added to all documents that currently are assessed an Access to Justice (Judicial Computer System) fee.

This $13.50 increase applies to all recorded documents with the exception of Modifications, Assignment of Rents, Assignment of Rents and Leases, Assignment of Leases and Rents, Power of Attorneys, UCC’s, and Partial Releases.

Effective October 3, 2011, the fee for each PIN certification in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania will be $10.00. If a document contains multiple parcels, the cost for each PIN certification shall be $10.00 per PIN certified.

Effective 1/4/2010, the Lehigh County Recorder of Deeds will be charging a $10.00 fee for the parcel number certification on all documents being presented for recording.

Effective 1/1/2010, the Lebanon County Recorder of Deeds will be charging a $10.00 fee for the parcel number certification on all documents being presented for recording.

Effective 1/1/2010, the York County Recorder of Deeds will be charging a $10.00 fee for the parcel number certification on all documents being presented for recording.
